Happiness has a place in Hip-Hop. It can be expressed through dance, art, DJying and rapping. Wu-Tang affiliate and Sunz of Man member Killah Priest manifests an abstract vision of natural peace and joy with his new LP release Forest of the Happy Ever After.
I’ve listened to this pretty steady since it’s appropriate release this spring. For kicks, I rated each track below but this is honestly the type of album you play fifty-two minutes straight through. It kinda reminds me of how I felt listening to Aceyalone’s A Book of Human Language circa 1998- not in terms of content, but in terms of how well-conceived and thoughtful this entire project is.
Play this album to unlock harmonious, healthy thoughts amidst a world of sarcasm and chaos. Ironically it’s hella raw that KP dropped this. The man himself posted an album release party which I linked below. Enjoy!
